Carbon-monoxide poisoning from smoke and soot inhalation was the cause of death of a man who died in a mobile-home fire Sunday near New Castle, the Garfield County Coroners Office said Tuesday. Authorities identified the victim as Sanford Vaughn Griffin, 78, of 378 Apple Drive.
